Hildegard Myers, 86, long time resident of Colorado Springs, entered into rest May 21st, 2015. Born on June 1st, 1928 in Nuremberg, Germany to parents Rudolf and Batte Gscheidl. On August 26, 1955 Hildegard became a US Citizen in Junction City, Kansas, of which she was very proud.

Beloved wife (for 52 years), of the late Victor T. Myers whom she married January 23rd, 1954 in Merrell Barracks, Nuremberg, Germany.

Hildegard loved many things, including yodeling, singing, arts and crafts, and “going up the hill” to Cripple Creek. She was a member of numerous clubs in the Denver and surrounding areas such as: German American Cultural Society, Bell Ringers, and Austrian American Enzian Club to name a few.

She is survived by her dear companion of 8 years Donald York, best and long-time friend Edith Pedley, and many loving friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 28th, 2015, 2pm at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel with reception to follow at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 S. Union Blvd. Private urn placement will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Gentiva Hospice or Wounded Warriors Project.
