Our dear mother Ingeburg “Inga” M. Edgar, 94 years old, sadly passed away on June 29th, 2022. She was a long-time resident of Fountain Colorado. She was born to the late Johannes and Babette Bach on December 10, 1927 in Nuremberg Germany. She married Calvin Edgar in 1956 after meeting in Germany and moved to the states, traveling around to many military bases before settling in Colorado.
Inga was an accomplished seamstress and a master quilter spending many hours teaching her craft. She also loved making and selling her homemade crafts which she would sell at the Fountain Valley Senior Center. Inga also spent countless hours volunteering her time at the Senior Center, and the El Pomar Foundation.
Inga also loved her roses and vegetable gardens. She was featured many times in the local paper for her growing skills. She loved her neighbors and friends and was well known and loved member of the community in the Fountain area.
Inga greatly enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Inga is survived by three children Barbara Edgar-Cartwright (Mike), Charles Edgar (Tracy) of Colorado Springs and Margaret Guidry (Tony) of Monument. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Inga was predeceased by her loving husband in 1992 and daughter Debra Phillips (George) in 2009.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10 am on July 16th at the Shrine of Remembrance on 1730 E. Fountain Blvd in Colorado Springs. A reception will be held following the service at her daughter’s home in Monument Co. Address will be provided at the service.
