Ingeburg Freeman

Ingeburg Freeman, 92, passed away on March 27, 2018. She was a resident of Colorado Springs since 1966, and she received numerous letters of recognition for her outstanding work as a secretary for a general during World War 2.

Inge was born on April 14, 1925 in Worms, Germany. She loved to ice skate, and she cherished animals. She felt extremely connected to wolves and enjoyed the deer that would occupy her yard almost daily. She was a member of the Coffee Club at the Sertich Ice Center, where she was also widely known and loved for her spunky personality and passion for ice skating.

She is survived by her husband, Emory Freeman; grandchildren, Talena Freeman, and Tanja Freeman; and great-grandchildren, Malik Hymes, Julian Hymes, Harley Thompson, Lily Waters, and Bellarose Mcdorman.

A viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 also at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.

Inge touched many hearts with her explosive personality and her spit-fire wit. She will be extremely missed and the memory of her will continue to bring joy and warmth to everyone who was lucky enough to meet her.
