Irene (Bragg) Marshall
Irene (Bragg) Marshall passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at the age of 83. She was a Colorado Springs resident since 1935.
Irene was born on August 8, 1930 to Frank Early and Thirkield (Tyler) Bragg, in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
Irene graduated from Colorado Springs High School (Palmer) in 1949. Irene had a long service career of 30 years as an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Accounting Department at the Kaman (Nuclear) Sciences Corporation. Irene was a member of St. John’s Baptist Church where she was baptized by Reverend Proby when she was a teenager.
After retiring, Irene spent her time gathering information about her family tree and completed a 400 page genealogy book.
Those whom she has left behind will forever cherish her memory and they include her children: Cecil Edward Bass and family, Ronald Frank Bass and family, and Herbert Hoover Jones and family; her sister: Frankie Mae Smith; five grandchildren: Cecil E. Bass IV, Ronald Frank, Jr., Derek Bass, Carson Alexander Jones, and Sonja McDaniel; six great-grandchildren; and multitudes of cousins and friends.
A Funeral Service will held be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard.
