Jack Loewen, 88, passed away December 9th due to complications from COVID-19.
Jack was born to I. J. and Nina (Wallerstedt) Loewen on February 29, 1932 in Clinton, OK. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1954 with a BS in Aeronautical Engineering, after which he served in the Air Force, then worked for General Dynamics and American Airlines for many years. Jack was a small business owner and real estate agent in Colorado Springs and enjoyed golfing and bridge with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Don J. Loewen, and sister, Harriet (Loewen) Kennedy, both also of Colorado Springs, and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Cary; by three sons, Ken (Vancouver, WA), Ric (Woodland Park, CO), and Ed (Woodbridge, VA); and by four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
