July 23, 1928 – October 31, 2019 

Jack Shriver passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019.  He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 10 years and was formerly a resident of Abilene, Texas.

He was born on July 23, 1928 to Orie Earl Shriver and Ada (Beatty) Shriver in Wallace, West Virginia.  He graduated from Wallace High School in Wallace, West Virginia.  Jack and Mamie Ruth Stoecker were married on November 25, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas. 

Jack was a radar technician in the United State Air Force.  He retired from the Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant after 22 years of service.  He also worked on the HVAC systems for the Abilene Independent School District.

He is survived by 2 sons: Ray (Carol) Shriver, and Phillip (DiGi) Shriver; a daughter, Paula (John) Streger; 5 grandchildren: Cody Streger, J Avery Shriver, Caden Andrew Shriver, Sara Grace Shriver, and Emma Hope Shriver.

A visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd.  A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.

Memorials in Jack’s name may be made to Springs Rescue Mission.
