January 13, 1941 – September 5, 2019

Jacquelyn Dee Britton “Jackie” passed away on September 5, 2019. Jackie was born to Jack and Emma Hoffman and was 78 years old at her passing. She married Jesse Britton in Igloo, South Dakota in September of 1958.

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, step-father and husband, Jesse Britton. She leaves behind four children, a daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, as well as two brothers, one sister, two sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews.

She has lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado for several years. She has lived in many places in her lifetime, mostly in Colorado, South Dakota and Nebraska.

Her faith in Jesus was very important to her.  She enjoyed crafts- especially making cards for family and friends’ birthdays. She completed her GED in 1975.

Quoting a cousin, whose words reflected Jackie, “She was complicated, for sure, but I will never forget her amazing laugh.” She liked her Twinkies, Cheetos and McDonald’s Big Macs; in talking among ourselves we figured that it must run in the family.

We celebrated her life and her new life now with a small family gathering in Pueblo West. In late spring family will gather again for the burial of her ashes beside her husband in Pueblo, Colorado.   All the family would like to extend our thanks for all the love, support and prayers for Mom and all of us. As she would have said, “God bless you”.
