James Allen Croushore
Grandfather, father, and brother: James Croushore, 63, was taken from this world on May 2nd, 2015. Jim relocated to Colorado Springs in May of 2014 to be near his daughter, Marissa Bovee, son-in-law, Jason, and his cherished grandson, Nolan James. He is also survived by his sister Patty Pavolko, brother-in-law, Joe, and nephew, Michael of Homer City, Pennsylvania. Words will never succeed at expressing just how much Jim will be missed by many.
Jim was born in Warren, PA on October 14, 1951 to Wade and Blanche (Gunther) Croushore, who precede him in death. After graduating from Blairsville High School in 1969 Jim served two years in the United States Army. Perhaps becoming a decorated M16 sharp shooter and grenade expert made “Fuzzy” a force to be reckoned with at the bowling alley. His prowess in the lanes was only outmatched by his kind and outgoing spirit. Chances are, if you met Jim, even once, you were his friend.
Services will be held at The Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs at 4:30 pm on May 14th, 2015. For Pennsylvania loved ones, a service is planned for May 24, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Getty Heights Park in Indiana, PA, followed by a reception at Mohawk Lanes.
Jim was passionate about mentoring and teaching youngsters to bowl. Please consider donating to a cause Jim was directly involved with, enabling more children to learn the sport he loved so much. Donations can be made to The Junior Stars and Strikers program at Harmony Bowl by contacting Tara Ross, Heidi Grettenberger, or Kirsten Palmonari at (719) 591-1000.
We will always love you Jim – Dad, Grandpa, Pops, Pappy Jim.
