James Bowen

James Ray Bowen, age 24, lifelong Colorado Springs resident, passed away April 10, 2014.

James was born January 6, 1990 at Memorial Hospital to Brenda Pohlman and Eugene Bowen of Colorado Springs. He attended Trailblazer Elementary, Holmes Middle School, and Coronado High School.

James worked at Tri-Gon Precision Inc. where he’s worked for the last two and half years. He also recently started his own auto repair shop, Bowen Performances, where he worked and repaired automobiles for many different clients that became friends.

One of James’ biggest accomplishments was the birth of his daughter, Jaylee Christina Bowen, born May 20, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs. The other big accomplishment was marring the love of his life, and mother of his daughter, Kaeley on June 15, 2013.

James is survived by his mother, Brenda Pohlman; step-father, Bill Anthony; father, Eugene Bowen; siblings: Samantha Bowen, Matthew Bowen both of Colorado Springs; grandparents: Fred and Lucia Pohlman of Colorado Springs, Hann Pates of Denver, Colorado; and step-grandmother, Carol Clay of Lake City, Florida. James is also survived by several aunts and uncles: Larry and Jessica Pohlman, David and Lori Pohlman, Marlene Norman all of Colorado Springs, Janice and Phillip Eycke of Raleigh, North Carolina, Donna and Curtis of Oklahoma, Tony and Melissa; many cousins: Crystallee, Heather, Jonathan, Audrey, Natasha, Breanna, Bianca, and Nathaniel, Leo, Dana, and Shawntel; as well as a host of other family, extended family, friends and acquaintances, including his best friends: Karl Johnson, Nick Phillips, Preston Winter, Austin Springs, Abe Eliezer, Christopher Jenkins, and Greg Lang.

The family would like to thank Tri-Gon Precision for all the love and encouragement they gave James.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel in Colorado Springs.
