James Throneberry
James Throneberry, 76, born in Nashville, Tennessee, passed away March 5, 2012. Jim was preceded in death by Dolly, his wife of 46 years. He is survived by his son, Eddie Throneberry; daughter, Vicki Andrews; and grandson, Todd Andrews. Also surviving are his sister, Teddy Jo (husband, David) Carson, extended family and longtime cherished friends.
Jim first came to Colorado Springs to serve as a Radio Broadcaster for the U.S. Army. After his discharge from the military, Jim continued a career in radio. Jim and Dolly owned and worked in radio stations in Tennessee, Kansas, and Colorado. His radio work developed into a career in marketing and advertising. Jim and Dolly ran Jet Advertising together for over 15 years. Throughout their marriage, they were involved in many civic and charitable organizations, including the Bob Telmossé Foundation.
A celebration of Jim’s life is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Cremation is planned and private inurnment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Columbarium of Tranquility.
