James Winton Parker was born June 30, 1951, in Placerville, California and left this life on January 14, 2023, in Colorado Springs, CO.
He is survived by his wife Pauline and his children, Brian Parker, Steven Flournoy, and Patti Reno. He enjoyed his 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
As a young man Jim served in the US Army in the early 1970’s then served in his home church in Placerville for a number of years before traveling to Colorado.
He met and married the love of his life in Colorado Springs. They served together teaching Sunday School and other various roles.
The work he did with the Royal Rangers teaching young boys brought him the greatest fulfillment of any work he had ever done. The family that was created among the men that served in the Rangers has lasted through the years.
His devotion to family was unwavering but above all his love for God was first and foremost. His greatest prayer was that all his kids and grandkids would meet him in Heaven.

22 Jan 2023Many childhood memories Uncle Jim gave me growing up! Family reunions and large Parker family gatherings were always filled with laughter and love, and Uncle Jim played a big part of that. He will be missed, but we celebrate his life and his love for building God’s kingdom through mentorship and relationship building through a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father!
Love you Uncle Jim!
Until we meet again!
