Jane Chris Henderer was called home to her Lord and Savior September 27, 2016. She was born April 5, 1965 in Sterling, Colorado to parents Raymond and Betty Loos. She was forever marked by Christ in her baptism November 14, 1965 at Zion Congregational Church in Sterling. She graduated from Fleming High School in 1983. She then attended Colorado State University where she met her husband, Russell, while earning her degree in social work. They were married May 23, 1987 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at Messiah Lutheran Church where she began her social work career in the dialysis unit at the local hospital.

They moved to Pueblo, Colorado in 1989 where she worked as a social worker at a nursing home. Soon after they moved to Colorado Springs in 1991 where she again worked as a social worker at a local nursing home and then at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where they attended, supporting the pastoral staff and youth ministry. She loved working and guiding the junior high and high school youth as they started their walk in life. She loved the Lord dearly and wanted all the youth to develop that same love for the Lord. She continued her ministry at Woodman Valley Chapel where she led small groups in the women’s ministry studying and encouraging them to walk closely with the Lord.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Russell, and her two sisters LuAnn Hiler and Judy Little.

A celebration of her life will be held at Woodman Valley Chapel at the Heights Community Campus, 8292 Woodmen Valley View, Colorado Springs, CO 80908 on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
