Jasmine Maria Anaya Velazquez, 14 years old, passed away on October 4, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colorado.  She lived in Colorado Springs all her life, spending her summers with her family in Europe.

Jasmine was born on May 22, 2004 to parents, Jennifer and Pedro, at Memorial Hospital, Colorado Springs.  She was a bright freshman at Cheyenne Mountain High School.  Known to her friends as “Jazzy”, she was a caring and supportive friend to all who knew her.  Jasmine loved music, animals, adventure, friends and family.  Her hobbies were playing the trumpet, learning Taekwondo, and hanging out with her friends.  Jasmine’s adventures took her to Montana, Georgia, and eight countries in Europe.  She had dreams of joining the United States Air Force in the footsteps of her aunt and uncle.  Jasmine’s extraordinary beauty and love will be missed by so many.

Jasmine’s memory will live on in her parents, Jennifer and Pedro Anaya Velazquez; her grandparents, Baerbel and Matthew Altmanshofer; her aunt and uncle, Caroline and Perry Vaughn; her cousins, Matthew and Alex Vaughn; her family in Germany: great-grandmother, Edit, great-aunt and uncle, Karin and Theo, cousins, Mike and Kevin Wagner.

Please join us for Jasmine’s Celebration of Life, which will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Shrine of Remembrance, Colorado Springs.
