Jean Claire Southcotte, 85, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away peacefully in Windsor, Colorado on February 15, 2014. She was born on April 12, 1928 to William and Catherine Rademacher in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She married Walter R. Antuk (deceased) in 1948 and had three children. Jean later moved to Colorado Springs and in 1972 married John L. Southcotte, Jr. (deceased). She worked for 20 years in civil service at both Great Lakes Naval Training Center and the US Air Force Academy. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, watching sporting events, and visiting Las Vegas or Cripple Creek with her family and friends. Jean will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by daughter, Vicki (Gerald) Helton of Windsor; son, James (Sylvia) Antuk of San Francisco, California; step-daughters: Deborah (Brian) Hamilton of Castle Rock, and Linda Oase of Minnesota; step-sons: Patrick (Cyndie) Southcotte, of Wisconsin, and John F (Shawnee) Southcotte of Colorado Springs; grandchildren: Brent Helton, Deanna Helton, and Ian Antuk; sisters: Iris Faulkner of Colorado Springs, and Joann Denny of California. She was also preceded in death by four siblings and daughter, Jerri J. Antuk.
Cremation is planned and will be handled by Kibbey-Fishburn of Loveland followed by inurnment at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum in Colorado Springs. A Family Committal will be held in her honor.
