Jessica Castro Thibodeaux was called home to our Lord on November 7, 2024. She was born in Jacareí São Paulo, Brazil, on March 10, 1995, to her mother, Rosimeire de Toledo Xavier, and father, Sergio Evangelista de Castro.

Jessica spent 26 years of her young life in Brazil before deciding to become an Au Pair in the United States in 2021. She loved kids and wanted to travel so this was a dream come true. Jessica started her Au Pair journey in California, and later moved to Colorado where she would eventually meet her husband.

She loved going to concerts, listening/dancing to music, being outdoors walking around Garden of the Gods and Palmer Park, going to Red Rocks Church, and cooking together as a family.

Jessica was a beautiful woman inside and out and those who met and knew her were blessed by her outgoing spirit and love for life and God. She was full of love and radiant with joy. Jessica had the biggest, most beautiful smile that would light up the world. She truly enjoyed the simple things in life and was always grateful for what she had. Jessica was filled with joy, and you couldn’t help but want to be around her. She spoke often of having a family.

She met her husband on August 13, 2022, in Denver, Colorado, and he will tell you that he fell in love with her the moment he saw her. He was captivated by her infectious smile and immediately knew that date would be the first of many. Jessica and Marshall got married on January 6, 2023, and they will both tell you that it was one of the best days of their lives. Jessica and Marshall enjoyed being outdoors, but they also enjoyed their days indoors playing cards for hours with no end in sight. They loved cooking together as she showed him different Brazilian recipes and desserts. Jessica made their house a home. He was grateful to her that she allowed him and encouraged him to be a part of her culture. She showed everyone what true unconditional love means and looks like.

In the couple years to follow since their meeting, God blessed them by turning their family of two into a family of three. Jessica gave birth to their beautiful baby girl, Maite, on August 4, 2024. She loved and was so proud of being a mom. Jessica was the most caring, loving wife and amazing mother that Marshall could have ever asked God for. She taught him many things when it came to parenting and life. Jessica taught him to find the good in a bad situation. She taught him to be more patient, kind, and selfless. Even with this tragedy he is truly blessed for the life that Jessica and he got to share together, and the life that they were able to create and the beautiful and precious child she left behind.

Jessica tried to put God first in everything she did, and Jessica brought Marshall much closer to God during their relationship over the past two years. He was lost and without purpose before he met Jessica. His prayers for a wife and mother like Jessica were answered at the perfect time and everyone is better for having known her.

She is already sorely missed, and their daughter, Maite, will not go one day without being told that her mother was an amazing woman and loved her beyond what words can describe. It is with heartfelt regret that while Maite will not be able to see her mom again until they both meet in heaven, she will know that special love that Jessica had for her.

Jessica was Marshall and Maite’s everything, a beautiful wife, a loving mother, a loved daughter, and an incredible friend. Rest in peace, until we see you again. Eu te amo até a lua e de volta, baby.
