Jill Marie Schumann, age 37, passed away on July 26, 2017. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 8 years and was formerly a resident of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was an accountant at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, FCC Florence. Jill was born on November 2, 1979 to Ben and Lana Schumann (Westlund) in Fridley, Minnesota.

She is survived by her mother, Lana Westlund, and father, Ben Schumann of Minneapolis, Minnesota; siblings: Eric (Stephanie), Bryce (Elizabeth), Abby, Jenna and Aldeia (Elmore) Bickham; nieces: Taylor and Alexandria; nephews: Austin, Blake, Oliver, Emerson, Marcellus and Anthony; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Clarinda Schumann, and grandfather, Gerald Westlund.

Jill was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a proud veteran of the United States Army where she spent 7 years as a Military Police Officer, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. She was fond of riding her Harley Davidson. She had recently purchased a JEEP and loved to take it into the mountains. She also enjoyed hiking with her two beagles, Belle and Snoopy. She belonged to several motorcycle and Jeep groups. She was a longtime fan of the Green Bay Packers. She attended University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.

A visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910, with a reception to follow. A visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Washburn McReavy, Nokomis Park Chapel, 1838 East Minnehaha Parkway, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55407. Funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel, 1 Tower Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55450. Private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery to immediately follow.
