Joan D. Letellier, 84 years old, passed away on November 5. Joan was a resident of Colorado Springs for 34 years and was originally from Vineland, New Jersey.
Joan was born on April 22, 1932 to Michael Muccio and Josephine (Arpino) Muccio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On May 2, 1954, she married Pierre E. Letellier in Vineland, New Jersey.
Joan was fond of cooking and baking. She loved having the whole family together. She also enjoyed holiday decorating and being a Girl Scout leader, and loved working with children. Joan was very good at crafts and knitting. She knitted baby blankets and bonnets to donate to local hospitals. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She ran the office for her husband’s construction company. She also was very involved in her children’s sports, music, and ballet activities.
She is survived by her children: Denise L. Letellier, Pierre A. Letellier, and Renee S. Beltrand. She has 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial / Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80910, in the “America the Beautiful” Chapel.
