Joe S. Ewing
January 19, 1943 – January 21, 2013
Joe was born in Big Spring, Texas, the third son of James Blair and Leatrice Ewing. He attended public school in Big Spring, graduating from Big Spring High School in 1961. He then attended North Texas State University before beginning his career in the U.S. Border Patrol and later transferred to U.S. Customs as a pilot and then as a Senior Special Agent.
Joe moved to Tucson in 1977 and he lived there with his wife Barbara (Lee) until relocating to Colorado in 2000.
Joe is survived by his wife Barbara; daughters Natalie Jo Petsche of Ocala, Florida and Dani Leigh Ewing of Pt. St. Lucie, Florida. In addition he is survived by grandchildren: James, Michael and Carolyn Petsche, and Tyler Ewing; brother Charles David Ewing of Bend, Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
