John Charles Price, Jr.
John Charles Price, Jr. “Butch”, 67, of Pueblo West, Colorado, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. John was born on November 13, 1947 to Regina (Heitlinger) and John Price in Leavenworth, Kansas. Growing up, John attended schools in Leavenworth, Kansas. It was during this time that John also gained a passion for working on cars. That was learned and fostered through the times he enjoyed with his dad.
As a young man, John moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he turned his passion for cars into a career. John owned his own business, worked at prominent businesses and landmarks within the Colorado Springs area, and finally retired as a government civilian from the United States Air Force Academy. Along with cars, John picked up a passion for information technology and computers. In either of these, he was always there to lend a hand or help out a friend in need. In retirement, John continued his passion for cars by restoring classic and antique vehicles; his favorite vehicle being the 1957 Chevy. On occasion, in addition to cars and computers, John could be pulled away to participate in yet another passion of his, fishing.
John is survived by his mother, Regina Burton; a daughter and a grandson, Julie and Ethan Price; a sister, Carole Gilmore and her husband, John, and their two sons, Jonathan and Nicholas; a close and special friend, Donna Carson; his beloved dog, Mickey; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
