John David Ceurvorst, age 70, passed away on June 7, 2024, after a short battle with leukemia. He was a resident of Calhan, Colorado for 36 years and was formerly a resident of Moline, Illinois. John was a tool and dye maker for over 45 years.
He was born on February 27, 1954, to Paul Clement Ceurvorst and Gladys (Wetzel) Ceurvorst in Rock Island, Illinois. On July 1, 2000, he married Bobbi Jo Ceurvorst in Colona, Illinois.
John was fond of hunting and panning for gold. He also enjoyed camping and roaming the mountains and had an appreciation for the outdoors and spending time with his wife. John and Bobbi attended the Baptist church in Ellicott, Colorado.
John is survived by his loving wife, Bobbi; his siblings: Tom and Judy; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and several siblings.
