Jon A. Sanchez, beloved son, brother, and friend was called before us on October 1, 2022 at the age of 38.
He is survived by his mother Sandra Sanchez; brother Narciso (Charlie); sister Tammy Macy; sister Lucy Whipps; longtime friend Michael Sanchez; friends Michelle Jefferson; Sam Browder; Diana Browder; and his beloved dog Evita. Jon was preceded in death by his father Nash Sr; his uncle Joe Sanchez; his brother Nash Jr; and his half-brother Fritz.
Jon was born in Kirkland, Washington on May 20, 1984. He and his family moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming, where he lived most of his childhood years. He also lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he began working at an early age.
Jon enjoyed playing Nintendo video games, making elaborate puzzles, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, and keeping his Nissan Sentra immaculately clean. He also enjoyed going “up the hill” to Cripple Creek, where he was always the luckiest player on the slots.
Despite Jon’s disabilities and challenges, he was compassionate towards others in need, always ready to give them a few dollars – or just a helping hand. Although he went to heaven much too soon, he was sure to be greeted by our Lord, and many familiar faces and open arms.
Donations in Jon’s name can be made to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region at (719) 473-1741 or at HSPPR.org.
