Joseph Louis Klusak, Jr.
Joseph L. Klusak, Jr., a resident of Monument since 1977, passed away May 3, 2012. He retired as a tool maker from General Motors, Parma Ohio.
Joseph was born on May 28, 1913 in Cleveland, Ohio to Joseph Louis and Josephine (Zak) Klusak. He married the love of his life, Julie Kaczmarczyk, on November 23, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Joe was very active in the church and taught a Bible study class up until two weeks prior to his death. He was highly involved in Bible study and teaching. He volunteered at Penrose Hospital, St. Peter and Corpus Christi Catholic Church, collectively, for over 30 years. One of the greatest moments in his life was when he received his High School Diploma at Lewis Palmer High School, Monument CO, in 2001. Most of all, he truly loved his family.
When asked, “How are you doing, Joe?” he always said, “Excellent!” He brightened everybody’s day and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children: Ronald (wife Carol) Klusak, Patricia (husband David) Antosiak, Karen (husband Dennis) Golem, Linda (husband Joe) Reale, Dawn (husband Jim) Yontz; a brother, Louis Klusak; two sisters: Marie Zanzano, and Emily Marmo; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Klusak; a son, David Klusak; a brother, Edward Klusak; and three sisters: Anna Houdek, Josephine Klusak, and Frances Winter.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 55 North Jefferson Street, in Monument, Colorado. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will take place at Monument Cemetery and a reception will follow back at St. Peter Catholic Church.
