Judy Ko, age 76, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2017. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, CO for 7 years and was formerly a resident of Visalia, CA. Before she retired and moved to Colorado Springs to be closer to her son and grandchildren, she worked as a teacher for Corcoran High School.
Judy was born on December 10, 1940 to Benito Ko and Pilar Yu and was 1 of 9 children.
Judy was fond of travelling the world, hiking trails, and working out and staying in shape, as well as encouraging and supporting those around her to stay fit, to do well in school and to achieve their dreams. She is a prime example of someone who bettered herself through education, escaping poverty in Manila to have a better life, rather than settling and accepting her circumstances.
She is survived by her son: Mark Vaszary, her siblings: Annie Chu, Francisco Ko, Priscalla Ko, Sandy Ko, Sunny Ko, her grandchildren: Emily and Megan Vaszary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benito Ko and Pilar Yu, and siblings Jack Ko, Pacita Ko, William Ko.
