Justin Michael Inouye
Justin M. Inouye, age 23, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1993, passed away on June 13, 2013. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Justin Michael Inouye was born on November 8, 1989 in Los Angeles, California to Wayne M. and Roxana Y. (Schlesinger) Inouye. He was a 2008 graduate of Air Academy High School. He then attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he studied Business and Economics, and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where he made the Chancellor’s list.
Justin was very active in sports. He won a skateboarding tournament at the early age of 14 and was an avid snowboarder. He enjoyed soccer, basketball, golf, and loved to surf during his travels to California.
He will be best remembered by his many friends as being incredibly social and kind-hearted. He was always the life of the party.
Justin is survived by his parents, Wayne and Roxana Inouye; his brother, Joseph “Joey” Inouye of Colorado Springs; his maternal grandmother, Perla Schlesinger; his uncle, Alan (wife, Paula) Schlesinger of Houston, Texas; and three cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, “Tyson.”
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. A reception will follow at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Justin’s name may be made to the Pike’s Peak Suicide Prevention Center, 704 North Tejon Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903 or to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), 424 East 92nd Street, New York, New York 10128-6804.
