Kathryn “Kit” Grazioli
June 20, 1924 – November 23, 2011
Kathryn “Kit” DeVane Grazioli was born in Tampa, Florida on June 20, 1924 to Laura (Mathis) and William Lacy DeVane.
Kit served in the United States Navy. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and taught Middle School for two years. She also owned and managed All-American Sports Center in Colorado Springs until 1990. She was a duplicate bridge player and a member of the American Contract Bridge League for over 40 years.
Kit was a true entrepreneur, and continued to be productive as an active networker until her death. She took great joy in watching her grandchildren in their school and sports activities, and sharing her enthusiasm for all sports with her sons and grandchildren. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her three sons: Albert (wife, Anna) Grazioli, Jr. of Pasadena, California; Charles Grazioli of Colorado Springs; and Patrick (wife, Jeannette) Grazioli of Dallas, Texas; and five wonderful grandchildren: Demitri, Dante, and Delaney, Gabriella, and William Grazioli. She is also survived by one sister, Doris Wilson of Lutz, Florida.
A celebration of Kit’s life is planned for 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 1529 North Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909. A reception will follow services at the church. A candlelight vigil will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Pavilion at Palmer Park, 3650 Maizeland Road, use parking lot #1. Memorials in Kit’s name may be made to the church.
