Kimberly Ann Emrich (Campagna), a resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on January 31, 2025. Kim was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Born on August 20, 1968, she left us far too soon at age 56.
Growing up in Northeast Ohio, it was there she started down her career path in the medical field. She worked as an EEG Technologist for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. In 1999, she received her Bachelor of Science degree through Colorado Christian University. Throughout her professional life, Kim made significant contributions everywhere she worked and was highly respected by her colleagues and peers. Whether it was in her role as a medical assistant or lab technician in an ER/Trauma center in Ohio, in her most recent business as a certified health coach in Colorado, or simply in her personal life with friends and family, Kim always had a passion for helping others achieve wellness.
Kim’s life was also marked by her faith, putting her trust in Christ and devoting herself to Christian work. As a teenager, Kim traveled to Papua New Guinea on a mission trip; this experience stirred within her a desire to be a missionary throughout her twenties, serving with Youth With A Mission and ministering in multiple nations.
Kim’s relationship with Jesus was the defining aspect of her life. She was unafraid to reach out to others, share the Gospel, or simply be a listening ear. At all hours of the day and night, she was ready and available for anyone in need. Kim was creative, fun, and had an infectious laugh. She loved playing tennis and cheering for her daughter at her many tennis competitions. She was a gifted interior designer and shared that gift with many of her friends. Kim loved a good party. She was known as an excellent host and cook. She loved spending holiday time with family. Her greatest joy in life was being a mom to her children. She was caring, involved in their activities, supportive and ready to go the extra mile.
Some words used to describe her, by those who knew her best include: generous, gracious, selfless, adored her children, passion for health, loyal, incredible eye for beauty, world traveler, devoted to Christ.
Kim is survived by her beloved children, Jared and Lilia Emrich; her brother, Jim (Ann) Campagna; and half-sisters, Christie and Katie Campagna. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Strimaitis Joseph, and father, James Campagna Jr. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
A celebration of Kim’s life will be held at 3pm on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Springs Church, 1515 Auto Mall Loop, Colorado Springs, CO 80920. Flowers can be delivered to the Church.

11 Feb 2025I met Kim through our kids who were friends. Upon our first meeting, we realized we both grew up in Chardon, Ohio! She went to high school with my sister! It was fun to get to know her. So sorry her story ended so quickly. My deepest sympathies and prayers.

18 Feb 2025Heartbreaking! Memories of Kim in high school always bring a quick smile to my face. So energetic and so much fun to be around. Always willing to go on an adventure, even getting lost in Cook Forest on a school trip. She is with Jesus, so we know she is more than ok, but my heart aches for her family. Jim, I am so sorry and my prayer for you and others in her family is for the perfect peace that can only come from trusting in Him which is a promise our Lord gives us in Isaiah 26:3.

20 Feb 2025Whenever I think of Kim, childhood memories of holiday family gatherings, apple picking, going to Conneaut Lake Park for Labor Day weekend with the cousins come to mind. So much more. Hard to believe she’s gone, but will never be forgotten. I look forward to seeing her smiling face again someday in Heaven. What a beautiful person she always was! Jim and Lillia, my heart and prayers go out to you and the rest of the family. But we will be happy when we see her tomorrow. Take heart, “Joy will come in the morning.”
