Kyle J. Harris, just 46 years old, passed away on October 11, 2021 from COVID-19. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. He was born in Great Falls, MT, was a 1993 graduate of Widefield High School, and lived in Colorado Springs most of his life.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Phoenix; he was employed at Oracle for 20 years, and recently employed by the City of Colorado Springs.

Kyle was an avid poker player, life-long baseball enthusiast, and a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.

Kyle is survived by his parents Ed and Sandra; sons Caelen and Braeden (wife Sam) and daughter Jaecey; grandson Sylas (son of Caelen); the love of his life Paula and her sons Nathan and Dominik; his sisters Shelly (husband Rick) and Alana; nephews Evan and Cordell and nieces Holly and Cassie (husband Cole); an abundance of friends and extended family; and his beloved dog Sadie.

A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Shrine of Remembrance. Contributions in memory of Kyle can be made to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado.

  4. I was lucky to work with Kyle as an assistant baseball coach at Widefield HS. A big, strong, dedicated pitcher, Kyle was a team leader. Baseball flowed in his heart as both he and his Dad were way above average. I’m sure I speak from the entire WHS community to express how Kyle always had “WIDEFIELD PRIDE INSIDE!”

I worked with Kyle at Oracle for almost 3 years and he really was a smart, gracious, and engaging mentor to me. He really cared about people and we had great conversations.
