Lawerence “Larry” Shelton, Jr.
August 7, 1943 – November 1, 2018
Larry was born in Junction City, Oregon to Lawrence and Gladys Shelton. They moved to Colorado Springs one week later.
After graduating from Manitou High School, he served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Tom Green County. He worked as a truck driver for 44 years, 34 of which were as a Teamster.
He loved his street rod and was the world’s best handyman and upholsterer. Everyone loved his sense of humor, smile, and laughter.
He is survived by his best friend and wife, June; son, Larry; and daughter, Lynette Howell; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, at the Clarion Hotel, 314 West Bijou Street.

12 Nov 2018Will miss you Larry, my brother. I loved you and thought so much of you. Our little talks we use to have, the laughs and the good times. We were not together very much over the last few years, but I will never forget you. Howie and I thank you for everything you have done for us. You always remembered me and you got to know Howie and accepted him. I will miss you with all my heart. Rest in peace my dearest friend, you have earned it. Love you and will see you soon.
