Lee Micha Meisenheimer, 76, passed away March 25, 2020. She resided in Colorado Springs, CO. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, church elder, missionary, and friend.
She was born Mi Tae Cha Yi on April 5th, 1943 in Osaka-Fu, Japan. Her parents were Su Young Yi and Yang Ye Cho. Although born in Japan, she moved back to Korea as a small child. She lived through the Korean War. She remembered the US soldiers fondly, and would tell us they would give her fruit as a child.
She was the strongest woman we know.
Lee met her husband Robert Meisenheimer in Monterey, CA. Robert proposed in Columbus, GA (while at jump school). They were wed April 17, 1976 at Ft. Ord, CA.
She is survived by her children, Paul Meisenheimer, Amy (Jackie) Sampsel; her grandchildren: Lucas Sampsel, Jasper Sampsel, and Harper Sanderlin (Meisenheimer); and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings.
Due to world events, the family is holding a private graveside burial at this time. A memorial will be planned at a later date.
