Leonard G. Renoux, 79, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away 22 June 2015, at Brookdale Place of Colorado Springs. Born July 14, 1935 in Washington, Iowa he was the son of the late Harry L. and Nellie J. (Wells) Renoux.

Mr. Renoux enlisted in the US Army on 20 March 1955. He was a decorated Purple Heart recipient and retired with a rank of CSM/E9 and with a permanent physical disability after 24 years of service.

He also attended the University of Colorado, in Colorado Springs, receiving a BS in Computer Science in May 1987. He worked for a number of software integration companies in Colorado Springs before his retirement in 1998.

He enjoyed life after retiring; he and his wife Frieda loved camping and seeing the different states rv camping.

He is survived by two brothers: Larry (wife Mary) and Eddie (wife Claire); and three daughters: Suzy Donato and Linda Clear of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Sally Renoux of Andover, Kansas. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Brandon Renoux, Shanna Renoux, Becky and John Clear, Dante Donato; and 5 great-grandchildren: Elijah Renoux, Javon and Shanice Rogers, John Clear and Viktor Renoux.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Elfriede (Steinbichl) whom he married December 18, 1957 and passed away 26 January 2008; and a son Viktor Renoux on 29 June 1983.

At his request, there will be no funeral service, but a celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 3, 2015 at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
