Leora “Lee” Boyd Foushee, 98, passed away on February 16, 2018. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 31 years. She had worked for various companies as a Secretary/Administrative Assistant before retirement and becoming a world traveler.

Leora was born on September 22, 1919 to Clancy E. Boyd and Bessie M. (Lohr) Boyd. She married Charles L. Foushee III on June 30, 1949 in the British Consulate on Bahrain Island, Saudi Arabia.

Lee was an avid reader, enjoyed all sorts of word puzzles and had an appreciation of music. She attended a number of different churches during her married life and was a member of Eastern Star for short period of time. She graduated from high school in Elmwood, Illinois. She was an active volunteer for several organizations including Memorial Hospital, American Heart Association, and the Olympic Training Center.

She is survived by her children, Charles L. Foushee IV (Beth), and David R. Foushee (Richard Forde); her grandchildren, LeeAnn McKinney (Stewart), and Lisa Dwinell (Ryan); great-grandchildren: Hallie and Lauren McKinney, and Addyson and Ben Dwinell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Helen, her son Ralph, and her husband.

Memorial service at 2 PM Thursday February 22, 2018 at the Medallion Chapel 1719 E Bijou Street Colorado Springs, Co 80909. A private burial service was held at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Rose Garden II.
