Linda Florence Certoma O’Bremski, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1986, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019. She was a payroll accountant at Long Island Lighting Company.
Linda was born on June 18, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York, to Rocco and Maria Caterina (Bruzzesi) Certoma. She married Stephen Robert O’Bremski on January 19, 1941 in Bayside, New York.
She loved to knit and crochet and had the gift of being able to create beautiful handiwork. She also enjoyed exercising at the YMCA.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Macklin (Eddie) and Janet O’Bremski–Dade (Derrick); a sister, Mary Simone; a brother, Arturo Certoma; two grandsons, Lee Macklin (Pamela) and Clifford Macklin (Nadine); and five great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Sydney, Quincy, Ty, and Selah Macklin. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters; and two brothers.
Private family services are planned. Burial will be at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York on July 19 at 1:30 pm.
