Lorene Hudson, 89, passed away peacefully November 12, 2013. She was born in Beatrice, Nebraska, January 19, 1924 to Ralph and Ethel Bowhay. Her brother, Lyle, is deceased. After WWII, she and her beloved husband, Paul, lived in Lincoln, Nebraska and moved to Colorado Springs after retirement, enjoying many years at Village At Skyline, later moving to Palisades at Broadmoor Park.
She is survived by 3 children, Dennis Hudson (Laine Jones) Castle Rock, Jean Koch (Bill) Colorado Springs, Nancy Marts (Rick) Kihei, Hawaii, 6 grandchildren Casey Hudson, Michael Hudson, Trenton Koch, Justin Koch, Brian Marts, Nicole Hawke, and 10 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Paul, died March 2011.
Lorene retired as a receptionist from the University of Nebraska Dental College. Paul and Lorene loved attending Nebraska football games with her colleagues. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed activities including hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, water skiing, and dancing. They loved traveling North America (often in their RV), Europe, Hawaii, and also enjoyed Caribbean and Alaskan cruises.
