Lorraine Marie Jones, 88, passed away on May 28, 2017. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 54 years.
Lorraine was born on December 2, 1928 to Peter F. Mangi and Josephine (Marrone) Mangi, in Bronx, New York. On November 3, 1989, she married Ellsworth “Al” E. Jones in Colorado Springs.
Lorraine “Lori” was fond of arts & crafts, golfing, fishing, and reading. She was Red Cross volunteer at Ft. Carson Hospital back in the 1960’s, before she started her career as a Paraprofessional for Widefield School District 3. She graduated from Bayside H.S. (NY), in 1947. Lori had a wonderful sense of humor and quick wit that made people naturally gravitate to her.
She is survived by her husband, Ellsworth “Al” E. Jones; her children: Douglas W. Dustin (wife, Christine), Deborah J. Puckett (husband, Dennis); her sister, Brenda A. Worster; her granddaughters, Shawn M. Stevenson, Michelle L. Stevenson; great-granddaughter, Chloe R. Stevenson; stepson, Michael L. Jones; step-daughters, Patricia A. Jones, Nancy C. Lane; 5 additional grandchildren; 7 additional great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Josephine Mangi.
Service to be held at 2:00p.m., on Monday, June 5 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs. A reception will be held following the service at Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Blvd., Colorado Springs.
