Lou Ann Bonham: Ann was 61 years old and passed away on 29 Dec 2014. Ann was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 20 years and was originally from Dora/Quinton Alabama but followed her husband around the world with the military.

Ann was born on 23 July 1953 to Paul Bell and Mary Helen (Andrews) Bell in Jasper, Alabama. On 25 Aug 1980 she married Terry D. Bonham in Jasper, Alabama.

Ann loved to crochet, read good books and cook for family and friends. Ann attended High School at Dora High school and was a nursing graduate at Bevel State in Alabama. Ann served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War for three years and gained the rank of SGT (E5).

Ann is survived by her loving husband, Terry D. Bonham. She was never blessed with children but was “Mom” to many young soldiers and children of friends. She also survived by a brother, Kenneth Bell; a sister, Kay Bell, nieces, Krystal and Alice and their children, and special friends Brandon and Deborah Brennan and their family. Ann was preceded in death by her father Paul, mother Mary and brother Benny.

Per Ann’s request we will not have a funeral service but plan to have a Celebration of Life in the spring or early summer at a location in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The exact date will be announced later.

Memorials in Ann’s name may be made to the Humane Society or the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Ann’s passing leaves a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.
