Mabel Roberta Argo born November 29, 1927 in El Paso, Texas.
She has gone before us to be with the Lord on April 14, 2016. We will miss her deeply.
She attended high school in El Paso, Texas. In 1944 she married Neil D. Argo, a Lieutenant in the then Army Air Corps.
Our mother loved us dearly and so chose to make her life-long career raising and loving us, her children.
She graduated from Pikes Peak Community College with an Associate in Arts Degree.
She was a member of the Colorado Springs Senior Dance Troupe “Generation Journey”, performing throughout the Rocky Mountain Region and on one ship cruise in the 1980s and ’90s. She enjoyed writing poetry and playing golf with her husband.
She was a member of the Officer’s Wive’s Club and also a Girl Scout Leader.
She is survived by three of her four children, Nancy Lynn Gordon, Neil D. Argo Jr. and Roberta Lee Curtis. Stephanie Ann Argo was deceased in February 1984. Four grandchildren Peter Gordon, Jennifer Gordon, Michael Winters and Heather Fritsch, and three great grandchildren Max Gordon, Rachel Gordon, Zeezah-Marie Fritsch; 1 great-niece, Paulette Robitzsch.
Services for Mabel Roberta Argo will be held on April 26, 2016 and begin at 9 AM with a visitation, followed by a funeral service at 10 AM at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 East Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. (719) 634-1597. Interment will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver where she will be laid to rest with her husband of twenty-two years, Major Neil D. Argo who preceded her in death in 1975.
