It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our father, Manuel Ramos, Jr., who passed at Penrose Hospital. Manny was 69 years old. He was born to Iris Sanoguet and Manuel Ramos, Sr. in Manhattan, New York on August 29, 1955. He fought a very long battle of end stage renal disease and succumbed to his illness at 7:15pm on November 14, 2024.
Manuel and his family moved to Harlem, New York when he was 8 years old. He played endless baseball. At 16, Manny enlisted into the Army where he spent four years. He was honorably discharged at the age of 20. Manny came out wanting to do everything under the sun. He was brought to Colorado while in the Army and he fell in love with the mountains. At the age of 26 he met the love of his life, Tania. He had his first baby girl Tamara and second Tiffany while living in Bronx, New York. He made the executive decision to move his family to Colorado where he then welcomed his baby girl, Cassie. He was back and forth between Colorado and New York for years but ultimately decided that he wanted to spend the rest of his years surrounded by his three girls.
Manuel is survived by his three brothers: Edwin Ramos (Twin), Raymond Ramos and Joey Ramos; one sister, Paula Ramos; eight children: Manual Ramos Jr., Jason Alvarado, Manuel Ramos Jr., Tamara Ramos, Tiffany Ramos, Cassie Ramirez, Athena Sinnett, and Ray Ramos; and 14 plus grandchildren: Deejay, Tylik, Jonathan, Jaziah, Kai, Jazmere, Jamari, Jason, Jazel, Jamie, Zoie, Roxie, Autumn and Ophelia.
Manny loved playing games on his PlayStation. He was very much a resident evil/command in conquer type of guy. He loved going on outdoor adventures and taking road trips. Manny loved going on roller coasters, he loved to dance and tell stories about his young stud days. He was a diehard New York Yankees fan and he repped them from head to toe (Literally).
We little knew the day that
God was going to call your name
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home
You left us peaceful memories
Your love is still our guide
And though we cannot see you
You are always at our side
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again
We are our father’s
pride & joy. We are his
legacy. Thank you dad
We love you!
