Margaret Lillian (Campbell) MacNab, 98, passed away on June 23, 2018. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 46 years and was a former resident of Livingston, New Jersey.
Margaret, or Lil as she was always called, was born on February 18, 1920 to William Goodall Campbell and Margaret McPherson Campbell in Easton, Pennsylvania. She was married on May 14, 1949 to Graham MacNab in New Jersey. They met while roller skating when they were in school at a local roller skating rink and married years later. They came out to Colorado on a family vacation in 1971, went home and put the house on the market, and moved as soon as possible. Their love for the mountains, the clean air and the sunshine could not keep them away.
Lil enjoyed reading and traveling and tried to do as much of both as possible. She graduated high school in 1938 and served as a W.A.C. during World War II for two years. She was the Secretary to a Colonel and trained as a radio repairman while in the service. She was a secretary and bookkeeper when she worked in New Jersey and Colorado.
She is survived by her children: Margaret Jeanne Gibson (spouse Randall Gibson), Wendy Joyce MacNab (spouse Olin Gordon) and Thomas Graham MacNab (spouse Lori MacNab); her grandchildren: Robert Gibson (spouse Barbara Gibson), Daniel Gibson, Melissa Albritton and Cody Albritton (spouse Mandy Albritton), Kyle MacNab and Jamie MacNab; great-grandchildren: Caleb Gibson, Lily Gibson and Michael Polk. She was preceded in death by her five brothers: William, Jack, Norman, Hector and Stanley Campbell; her spouse, Graham MacNab; and their son, Robert Graham MacNab.
A private family service will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance.
