Margaret M. Hessek, 93 and a resident of Colorado Springs since 1958, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on March 1, 2016.
She was born on March 13, 1922 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to John and Helena Ruckert.
She was a die-hard Steelers fan, and she was an absolute Godsend with her grandsons.
She is survived by 3 sons: John, Thomas (wife Marion), and Richard (wife Jill) Hessek; and grandsons: Andrew and Tyler Hessek. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; sister, Helen Gannon; and brother, Jerome Ruckert.

A gathering will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016, 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2318 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. Entombment to follow at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven. A reception will follow the committal service back at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Margaret’s name may be made to the St. Jude Gift Fund.
