Marguerite E. Wagar
September 10, 1922 – April 6, 2022
Marguerite E. Wagar was born to William F. Rueter and Olga C. Rueter on September 10, 1922, in Mott, North Dakota where she lived until she graduated from high school. She attended Colorado College for two years. She was married to John C. Wagar on June 16, 1946. John passed away on February 21, 1992.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, and she was a volunteer for 33 years at Penrose Community Hospital which was Colorado Springs Community Hospital before Penrose bought it, which was opened in 1975 and when she joined.
She was a longtime member of the Early Bird Bowling League, and of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She loved her card groups, her lunch group of former volunteers, and especially family get-togethers and her many friends.
She is survived by her sons John and David, and David’s wife Luann, and granddaughters Sarah and Jennifer. Her son Mark preceded her in death on February 27, 2015.
Friends may gather at 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Private entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Gate of Heaven Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care.

You will be forever missed and most definitely FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS. Please give Grandma & Grandpa Peterson, Pops and Uncle Mark Big Hugs????.
