Maria Priscilla Scarcello, 82, of Colorado Springs, passed away on March 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Maria was born on October 25, 1931 in Cleveland, New Mexico to the late Moises and Fidela (Chacon) Romero.
Maria lived in Colorado Springs for 56 years. During that time she became a hard working entrepreneur in the real estate and property business. She also provided home care for the elderly and worked for Western Forge for seventeen years.
Everybody that knew Maria, loved her dearly. She was a very generous and genuine lady who always looked out for her family and friends. She enjoyed animals and especially gardening.
Maria is survived by her sons: Valentino Leroy Garcia and James David Garcia; daughter, Susanne Erica Perea; grandchildren: Daniel, Annette, Domonique, Ariana and Rachel; great grandchildren: Raquel, Nicolas, Desirae, Dalayna, Daegan, Mia and Kaya; as well as one great great granddaughter, Jayla; a brother, Leo; and a sister, Maryida. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Alicia; grandson, Jocobi; granddaughter, Danielle; great great granddaughter, Symphony as well as several brothers and sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
