Marian Alice Mason “Punky”, age 86, passed away on October 24, 2023. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 68 years and was formerly a resident of Denver, Colorado. She was a registered X-Ray Technician.
Punky was born on May 14, 1937, to John Boyce O’Neal and Marian Alice (Feeley) O’Neal of Colorado Springs, Colorado. On September 1, 1956, she married Earnest Lee Mason in Raton, New Mexico.
Punky was fond of playing the slot machines in Cripple Creek, Colorado. She also enjoyed collecting cookbooks and watching the Denver Broncos play football. She attended Wheat Ridge High School and graduated on June 2, 1955.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela A. (Mason) Hiller (James B. Hiller); her brother, James P. O’Neal; her grandchildren: Shana A. (McGee) Biggs (Justin Biggs), Nicholas J. Mason (Calitta Mason), Eric L. Mason (Darian Mason), Luke J. Mason and Christina L. Hiller; her great-grandchildren: Keeghn Wagner, Paxton Mason; her nieces: Debbie Lou Dawson, Karol Sue Gates (Timothy Gates); and her nephew, Robert G. Shipps (Julie Shipps).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Mason; her son, John G. Mason; her parents, John and Marian O’Neal; brother, John O’Neal; sister, Mary Lou Shipps; and brother-in-law, Donald Shipps.
A private celebration of life will be celebrated at a later date by her extended family.
