Marilyn Minihan, age 88, passed away on December 21, 2018. Marilyn was a beloved mother and grandmother. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 50 years, and grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Marilyn was born on June 16, 1930 to Eugene Brey and Agnes (Frank) Brey in Chicago, Illinois. On June 13, 1953, she married her high school sweetheart, Donald Minihan, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Marilyn loved gardening. She also enjoyed golfing. She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Marilyn received a BS from University of Pittsburgh and enjoyed her time at the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She became a kindergarten teacher and eventually the director of the preschool at the Air Force Academy.
Marilyn is survived by her loving daughters, Lindy Franzini and Kathy Vigil; her grandsons, Kirk Franzini and Trey Vigil. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Minihan.
A visitation will be held at 9:30 am followed by a Rosary at 10:30 am and Mass at 11:00 am at St Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 6455 Brook Park Dr., on Friday, December 28, 2018. A reception will follow at St. Patrick’s. Interment at the Air Force Academy Cemetery will be at 2:00 pm.
