On Tuesday, October 1st, 2019, Marion McAlhaney (Mac) loving husband and father of three passed away at the age of 81.
Born to Bubb McAlhaney and Carrie Irene, Mac spent his childhood growing up in Varnville, South Carolina. He served in the Air Force for 28 years and was stationed in England, Turkey, Guam, Greece, Oklahoma, Georgia and finally Colorado Springs. He continued his dedication to government service and to others with 24 years in Civil Service as a satellite engineer.
Were you to ask his greatest accomplishment, it was on September 25th 1966, when he married Judy Conner. They celebrated 53 years of marriage before his passing.
Marion is survived by his wife, Judy; three children, Diedre, Shana, and Christopher; seven grandchildren; and two nephews, David and Ricky.
A memorial service will be held 2p.m. Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. A funeral service will be held on October 12, 2019 in Georgia.
