Marjorie Louise Morford, 89, went to be with her Lord on August 7, 2020. She was a native and resident of Colorado Springs, and lived for several years in Mesa, AZ before moving back in 2017. She was a homemaker.
Marjorie was born on August 30, 1930 to Guy and Cora Powers. On December 31, 1950, she married Leo W. Morford in Colorado Springs. Her three brothers, Clifford, Kenneth and Raymond predeceased Marjorie.
Margie enjoyed sewing, quilting, square dancing, ballroom dancing, singing, playing the piano, traveling, and most of all making friends. She especially enjoyed hosting many gatherings and celebrations with the many she loved. During the late 1960’s until the early 1970’s, she played keyboards with the family band known as “The 7 M’s”.
Margie graduated with the Colorado Springs High School Class of 1948. For many years thereafter, she kept in touch with her Sunshine Girls.
Marjorie and Leo had five children, who survive her. Leo passed in August 2019. To treasure her memory are Steve (Becky) of Greenville, IN; Kathy (Steve) Krause of Colorado Springs, CO; Ken (Sue) of Divide, CO; Joanna (Jim) Burmeister of Colorado Springs, CO; and Clint (Kathy) of Divide, CO; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A loving daughter, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Margie will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by many.

12 Aug 2020Sorry for your loss of Marjorie. Words, however gentle, cannot take your loss away. Still, may this note of sympathy help comfort all of you today.
We had many years of friendship, parties, dancing etc. with Marjorie and Leo.

15 Aug 2020I will really miss my grandma. My favorite memory is of the week I spent with my grandparents at their mountain property. Just me, not my sister’s or parents, so I really got to bond with them. We had a lot of good conversation and fun listening to music and playing games.
