Mark James Martinez Angeles, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1993, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in Portland, Oregon.
Mark was born in Washington, DC on November 20, 1992 to Jaime N. Angeles, III and M. Gemma J. Martinez Angeles. He had recently graduated from Reed College in Portland, Oregon with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry.
Mark represents among the best in us. He was smart, witty, passionate and driven, but at the same time incredibly thoughtful and loving. He made it his mission every single day to simply love people, in whatever way he could. He always saw the good in other people, even when all they could see was bad. He was a true and unique light to this world, and he will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his parents; a sister, Mia Angeles; his grandparents: Jimmy and Beng Angeles, and Charing Martinez; and a multitude of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 55 N. Jefferson St., Monument, Colorado. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Please wear white and/or bright colors if you plan on attending. A reception will follow at the church. Inurnment will be private.
