Technical Sergeant Marne A. Goff USAF (Ret.) passed away on April 16, 2014 at a local nursing home. He was born on March 5, 1921 in Tulia, Texas, to Lawrence A. and Bessie Lee (Bell) Goff. He was one of eight children, all of whom are now deceased.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Malvina A. (Vergne) Goff. They were married March 15, 1958 in Paris, France. He enlisted in the United States Army in February, 1943 and transferred to the United States Air Force in February, 1946 serving his country honorably in the European Theater and various state side bases. Upon his retirement in June 1965, he was employed at Fort Carson civil service for 19 years.

A visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Funeral Services with Air Force Honors will be held at 2pm Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lutheran Village Townhome Association (LVOTA) 1026 Lutheran Way, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80915.
