Mary C. Denison
May 8, 1934 – December 1, 2014
Mary C. Denison, age 80, of Colorado Springs passed away peacefully at her home with her husband by her side on December 1, 2014. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and her many, many friends.
Mary was a very talented person and enjoyed many arts and crafts hobbies. She taught ceramic classes and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, Japanese Bunka embroidery, oil painting and gardening.
She leaves behind a large family who loved her dearly — her husband of 63 years, Robert D. Denison; four sons: Steven of Raton, New Mexico, Michael (Monika) of Englewood, Colorado, Richard (Tracey) of Thornton, Colorado, and Robert L. (Kay) of Norfolk, Nebraska; and a daughter, Kathryn (Pete) of Raton, New Mexico. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Mary (Dinkel) Rohr.
A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. A reception will follow at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard.
