MaryAnne Geivett Tebedo passed into eternity on Monday, February 13, 2023.
She was born on October 30, 1936 in Denver, Colorado, to Harvey Geivett and Alma (Frazio) Geivett. She married the love of her life, Donald E. Tebedo, and they had six children.
MaryAnne lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado and served as a Republican in the Colorado House of Representatives from 1982 through 1988. She was elected to serve in the Colorado Senate in 1988 and served until the completion of her career on December 31, 2001.
Senator Tebedo worked tirelessly over 30 years ago along with Costas Rombocos, the CEO of the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, and a task force of industry leaders that Mr. Rombocos assembled to rewrite and clarify the Colorado Preneed Law to optimally protect the state’s residents and to provide a clear and concise law that could be uniformly observed by the state’s deathcare providers. This revised law is still in place today.
MaryAnne is survived by four of her children: Kevin, Ronald, Thomas, and Christine Tebedo Ramirez. She was preceded in death by her husband; and two daughters: Karen, and Linda June.
