Maureen Linn
Maureen Linn, a resident of Colorado Springs for 40 years, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014. She was a retired daycare worker for Child Development Center at Peterson Air Force Base for 37 years.
Maureen was born on December 2, 1936 to James and Florence Cook in Scunthorpe, England. She married James Linn on August 20, 1955 in Scunthorpe, England. She loved NASCAR racing, Kansas City Chiefs, basketball, flowers, collecting Precious Moments, and most of all the children that surrounded her life.
She is survived by her children: Christine (husband Tom) Mitchell of Greenwood, Missouri, Steve Linn of Kansas City, Missouri, James (wife Angela) Linn of Pueblo, Colorado, Michael Linn of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mark (wife Larysa) Linn of Alta Monte Springs, Florida; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful†Chapel. Private interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Maureen’s name may be made to your favorite children’s charity.
